A placement drive under NSDC-Udaan was held at Govt. Polytechnic, Jammu in which six corporates which include Suntech Infra Solutions, TNS, Experis IT, Rooman Technologies, IL&FS and Quess Corporation participated in the drive for recruitment of various pass out students of Diploma Engineer and Graduate Engineer in Mechanical, Electrical and Automobile branches as well as other graduates and post Graduates students. The corporates interacted with the candidates and conducted pre-counseling placement session. A total of 58 candidates appeared for placement and finally 22 candidates were selected.

Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of the Polytechnic advised the students to make full use of their technical skills for employability to various organizations and stressed on the importance of campus placement drives for providing job opportunities to the students and appreciated the efforts of Er. Ajay Pal Singh Mobilization officer of NSDC and Rajesh Khajuria Training and Placement officer along with Er Ajay Thapa, Lecturer, Mechanical, Er. Deepak Gupta, Er. P. K Angral of this institute for smoothly conducting recruitment drive.
