Two Days TECHNOVATION 2019 concludes at Government Polytechnic Jammu. 1st Edition of College NEWSLETTER released

TECHNOVATION 2019, a Two days Mega technical festival concluded at Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk Jammu. On the concluding day of Valediction and Prize distribution of TECHNOVATION 2018, the Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director Technical Education, J&K and Guest of Honour were Er Mehmood Ahmed, Secretary State Board of Technical Education, J&K, Er Mohd Shafi Bhat, Joint Director Technical Education Department J&K and Er Arun Bangotra Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu who distributed the prizes to the winning teams. On this occasion the 1st edition of College Newsletter was also released.

While speaking on the occasion the Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director Technical Education, J&K congratulated the Principal of Govt. Polytechnic Jammu and his team for successfully organizing the event and said that the objective of the event is to guide the young engineers to innovations and startups. He congratulated Govt. Polytechnic Jammu for publication of 1st Edition of College Newsletter to showcase the various activities being conducted in the institute. He motivated the students to work in the field of Technical education and bring new ideas and innovations in the field of Technology and help the society groom for a better tomorrow and said such events bring out enthusiasm of the youth towards futuristic technologies.

Er Arun Bangotra Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu welcomed the Guests and all the dignitaries and said that this two days event have provided an opportunity and platform to all young innovative minds and motivated the students to apply their theoretical knowledge into Practical application by taking parts in such technical events. He congratulated all the students and advised them to stay focused and achieve greater heights and thanked all the distinguished guest for gracing the occasion with their presence.

During the two days TECHNOVATION 2019 various Competitions and activities like Design-e India, Electronic Circuit Making, Mechanical Assembly, Project Demonstration, Quiz Contest, Tech Show, Electronic Circuit making, CAD Mania, Plan your home/Town, Learning Basic concepts through activities. In these events more than 250 students from various Government & Private Polytechnics of J&K participated.

The Technical Paper Presentation event was won by Girish Kumar, while Rizwana Hamid & Nishchey Tushar were 2nd and 3rd from Government Polytechnic Jammu. Design e-India event was won by Nishant Bhagat, while Sahil Bhat & Sahil Chandan from Govt Polytechnic Jammu were 2nd and 3rd. Plan your Home, City or Town event was won by Shubam Khajuria, while Rishabh Puri and Aditya Sharma were 2nd and 3rd from Government Polytechnic Jammu. Mechanical Assembly event was won by Manish Palnyal and team from Govt. Polytechnic Jammu while Ritish Sambyal and team from Govt. Polytechnic Samba stood 2nd and Arun Kumar and team from Govt. Polytechnic Kathua stood 3rd. CAD Mania event was won by Jayant Chargotra from Govt. Polytechnic Jammu; Shubham Singh from Govt. Polytechnic Jammu stood 2nd and Aru Sharma from Govt. Polytechnic Samba stood 3rd. Quiz competition was won by Rashika and team from Govt. Polytechnic Jammu, Amarjeet Sharma and team from Govt. Polytechnic Jammu and Lakshit Dogra and team from Govt. Polytechnic Jammu were 2nd and 3rd. The Event Learning basic concepts activity was won by Lakhan and team for STP Model while 2nd prize went to Sukhmeet and team for Gates (NOR) and Arun and team from Govt. Polytechnic Jammu were 3rd. Tech Show event was won by Team from Government Polytechnic Jammu for “Evolution of Technology” while Team of Government Polytechnic Reasi and Women Polytechnic Jammu were Runner-ups. In Project Display First Prize went to RFID Based Library Software prepared by Nishant Bhagat and E-Bike prepared by Government Polytechnic Jammu while 2nd Prize went to Project Arch Bridge and Water Level Sensor prepared by students of Govt. Polytechnic Jammu and 3rd Prize went to Sewerage Treatment Plant project made by students of Govt Polytechnic Kishtwar.

The overall winner Trophy of Technovation 2019 was bagged by the students of Government Polytechnic Jammu.

Er Jasdeep Kaur, Lecturer I&C conducted the proceedings of the programme.
