Govt. Polytechnic College Jammu Participated in one day Online Webinar on “Emerging Research areas in Computer Science and Engineering”Conducted by BGSBU Rajouri.

The faculty and Students of Govt Polytechnic College Jammu participated in one day Webinar on “Emerging Research areas in Computer Science and Engineering” on Thursday 28th May 2020, using Zoom Platform which was organized by Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri (J&K). The Webinar was attended by participants from all over India through online mode. The Experts from eminent institutions across India delivered online lectures in this Webinar. The experts include Prof. Ashish Gosh from ISI Kolkata, Dr. Haider Banka from IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, Dr. Susmita Ghosh from Jadavpur University and Dr. Baijnath Kaushik from SMVDU Katra . The Speakers enlighten the participants about latest technologies in Computer engineering like Genetic Algorithms, Machine Learning, Evolutionary Algorithms and Applications and Deep learning, which is need of the hour. The Webinar was presided over by Honble. Vice Chancellor of BGSBU Prof. JavedMusarrat and Dean Academic affairs Prof. Iqbal parvez.

The Faculty Members from Govt. Polytechnic College Jammu namely Er. Aejaz Farooq, Er. Sajad Hussain, Mr. Vedpal, Shoket Ali and many more participated in this online Webinar besides students Sukhmeet Singh, Anamika Katoch ,NishuBhagat , Sakshi sathoo and Varun Mangotra etc also participated in the Webinar. The Coordinators of Webinar where Mr. Faisal Rasheed Lone, Asistant Professor Deptt. of IT, BGSBU and Dr. Sparch Sharma, Assistant Professor , Department of Computer Science , BGSBU. The Principal of Govt. Polytechnic College Jammu Er. Arun Bangotra also emphasis on current trends towards latest technologies of Computer engineering and termed Online Webinars as a great platform for Online studies. He also emphasizes on conduction of such Webinars beneficial to not only students but for faculties and research scholars also, in the prevalent Covid-19 conditions. Er. Zia Ul Haq Kohli HoD Computer Engineering & IT of Govt Polytechnic College Jammu also spoke on the transformation of technology which is the need of the hour and mentioned the importance of such online Workshops as great enriching experience for students and faculty. These Webinars are extremely useful for online studies of students and helps them in achieving their dreams in studies, in these lockdown conditions. He Added.
