Government Polytechnic College Jammu in association with ICT Academy, Chennai organized a webinar regarding the orientation session for students under Jammu & Kashmir Employability training (JEET) sponsored by AICTE which was attended by the staff and students of various Polytechnics of J&K. Er Arun Bangotra, Principal of the college welcome all the participants and informed them about initiative of the Government of India, AICTE in collaboration with ICT Academy Chennai and the State/UT Governments and Industries to enhance the skill of the polytechnic students as per requirements of the industry to generate more employment for the youth. Mr. B.Raghava Srinivasan, Head Government and corporate initiatives, ICT Academy informed that ICT Academy is a not-for-profit society, and a joint venture under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model to provide the training to students on latest technologies.
Mr. G. Saravan, Head strategic alliances and Mr. lovetesh kumar project manager delivered the online seminar on the various courses available for students that can increase the employability in various sector. During the session students get to know about various courses sponsored by the Govt of India free of cost for Jammu Kashmir students such as cloud architecture & infrastructure services, cyber security infrastructure configuration, machine learning and artificial intelligence, data sciences and big data analysis, digital marketing, AutoCAD, business administration specialist, product design, engineering using fusion 360 and many more. All the courses are designed as per the curriculum of industry and ICT Academy will train 5000 students free of cost as these courses are completely sponsored by AICTE. These courses will give knowledge to students on particular technology and acquire skill for targeted job also students will develop application of theory to practical situation.
