Er. Arun Bangotra awarded Global Teaching Excellence Award

Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal Government Polytechnic College Jammu has made Jammu proud once again by bagging Global Teaching Excellence Award for “Contribution to Education community” in virtual Award show conducted recently to acknowledge the exceptional dedication of Educators in the Education sector. KitesKraft Productions organized this event to honor the educators from all over India and in virtual award show this year due to Covid, 250 educators were awarded. The selection of the awardees was based on the process of nomination and thorough research by the KitesKraft Productions Jury.

Son of the soil, Er Arun Bangotra son of Sh. M.R Bangotra was awarded for recognition of his services in Technical Education sector. He had done his schooling from Sainik School Nagotra, B.E from Govt. College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) Jammu and M.Tech from SMVDU, Katra. He received the Topper in M.Tech Meritorious Award from President of India during convocation in SMVDU. He has also been awarded recently International Education Award 2020 as Outstanding Principal. He is author of many Engineering books, published Research papers in International/National Journals and is also contributing write-ups to many English Dailies including Kashmir Times, State Times, Daily Excelsior etc.

In year 2020, he successfully organized various online Awarnesss programmes for students, Online classes and examination, various Online competitions as a part of Defeat Covid-19 Campaign to boost the morale of students during covid pandemic, Webinars, Online Placement drives, Motivational Talks etc. He had also taken online classes of students and uploaded his lectures on his youtube channel for benefit of students. The establishment of Center for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) in collaboration with Tata Technologies with estimated cost of Rs 180 crore was started in the college in 2020.

Prof Dr. H.K Sardana (Chief Scientist CSIR), Dr. Vijay Kumar Shah (recipient of Padmashree award)- Social Activist, Dr. Kunal Kala, U.K Founder of Circle of Life, Mr C.K Bharadwaj, GHA Vice-President, and various renowned Speakers across the country and top educationalists spoke on the occasion of GTEA 2020 conference.
