Rangoli, Painting competition and other sports activities held during
Annual Sports Week

Hon'ble Minister being Greeted   Hon'ble Minister with other officials of the Department

On the 4th day of the ongoing week long Annual sports and activities week in Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk Jammu which was inaugurated by Sh. Navin Aggarwal (IPS), Director General, Youth Services & Sports Department, J&K Government, Er. Arun Bangotra Principal of the college took stock of the arrangements of various sports discipline accompanied by Er. Inderjeet Singh and Er. K.S Bhatia and personally interacted with all the participants and gave necessary instructions to the convenors of all the committee members.

In the rangoli competition was held today in which 8 teams of different departments depicted their imaginations with colours in the form of beautiful Rangolis. The competition was judged by Er. Sakshi Kapai, Er. Vandana Chib and Er. Harmeet Kour. First prize was won by Nidhi, Nalini, Bharti and Shikha of Architecture department, 2nd prize went to Bisma, and Suman lata of Mechanical Engg. department while third prize went to Amneet, Priya, Nishu and Osheen of Electrical Engg.

In Painting Competition which was judged by Ms Pratibha, Ms Archana and Ms Sandip Kour, first prize was won by Ms Nalini of Architecture Deptt, 2nd by Vijay Kumar of Civil Engg. and third by Dawar Hussain of Architecture Deptt. The theme of the competition wa “ Save Girl Child”.
In Volleyball tournament, Automobile Engg. department defeated Travel and Tourism by 24-20, 24-10. Mechanical Engineering department defeated the Instrumentation and Control Department by 21-24, 24-20, 24-19 and 24-22.

In Cricket tournament, Mechanical Engg. department defeated Instrumentation and Control department by 34 runs. Automobile Engg. department defeated Travel and Tourism by 3 wickets.

In Carrom, Rohit and Abid of Civil Engg defeated Rajan Charak and Ishan of Computer. Gurpreet Singh and Baljeet Singh from Mechanical Engg. department lost to Akash and Kartik of Automobile Engg. department.

In Chess, Rajat Sharma of Electrical department defeated Adik Puri from Architecture deptt. Inderdeep from Automobile department defeated Kanav from I&C, Ankush from Mechanical department defeated Pardeep from Automobile department.
