Government Polytechnic Jammu organized an Inter- Polytechnic Symposium and Quiz competition in the college in which the students from Govt. Polytechnic Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, NITS Polytechnic and IECS polytechnic participated. The Chief Guest of the function was Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of the institution who in his welcome speech motivated the students to participate in various co-curricular activities for their overall personality development and also aware the students about the importance of conservation of environment.

In Quiz Competition, six teams from various Polytechnics participated. The First Prize was bagged by the team from NITS Polytechnic, Jammu comprising of Mr. Nitish Jasrotia, Mr. Vipan Mattoo and Mr. Saurabh Bavoria. The Second Prize in Quiz competition was bagged by the team from Govt. Polytechnic, Jammu comprising of Mr. Manik Bhatia, Mr. Shubham Khajuria and Mr. Souhard Narang and Third Prize goes to the team from Govt. Polytechnic Kathua comprises of Mr. Subash Chander, Mr. Ajay Jasrotia and Mr. Ravinder Singh Katoch. The Quiz masters for the Quiz were Er. Sakshi Kapahi, Er. Khalid Sheikh, Er. Rishabh Gupta, Lecturers of the institute.

In the symposium fourteen students from various Polytechnics participated. The theme of the Symposium was “Use of Technology for Conservation of Environment”. The First prize was won by Ms. Nahida Malik from Govt. Polytechnic, Jammu, while second prize was won by Mr. Munish Kumar from Govt. Polytechnic, Kathua and third prize was shared by Mr. Arjun Singh from Govt. Polytechnic, Jammu and Ms. Diksha Koul from IECS Polytechnic, Jammu. The judges from the Symposium Competition were Er. Vandana Chib, Er. Deepika Sharma and Ar. Sandeep Kour. Other who was present on the occasion was Er. Inderjeet Singh Workshop Superintendent, Er. Harinder Arora, HOD Architecture, Er. Zia-Ul- Haq, HOD Computer Science, and other staff and students of the institute.
