The Mechanical Engineering Department of Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu today organized one day extension lecture in the college Auditorium on Start-ups and Innovations. Er Arun Bangotra, Principal of the institute welcomed the guests and highlighted the relevance of the topic. While addressing the gathering he highlighted the importance of such workshops in upgrading the knowledge on recent trends in Science & Technology and emphasized on becoming Job creators rather than Job seekers. Er. Tirlok Singh, Innovator and Guest speaker from Chandigarh shared his experiences and problems that incurred while setting up his own startup and encouraged the students to start their own small enterprises. Interactive sessions were held where students cleared the doubts on new start ups and innovations.

Later Mr. Trilok Singh displayed his modified motor bike which was a centre of attraction for students. The program was organized by Er. Khalid Sheikh Incharge N.SS. Others present in the workshop were K S Bhatia, HoD Mechanical Engineering, Sanam Gupta, Mohd. Shabir, Shorab Gupta, other officials, staff and students of the institute.
