Government Polytechnic Jammu organize Certificate disrtibution
Community Development through Polytechnic (CDTP Scheme) Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu organized certificate distribution function in the college for the recently pass out batch July 2017 to December 2017. Total 180 candidates were presented the certificates on successful completion of 6-month training course in software development, NCITP, Art craft and Fashion designing, Composite Electrician, Transformer & motor winding and plumbing and sanitary fitting. The pass out students in various skill oriented courses were awarded certificates by Principal Er. Arun Bangotra in presence of Er. Rajesh Gupta, Internal Co-ordinator, course coordinators, HODs and instructors. While speaking on this occasion. Principal/Chief Co-ordinator CDTP Scheme aware the students trained under the said scheme about the benefits of the various skill oriented courses and stress upon the students to take maximum benefit of this scheme to earn their livelihood. The Principal advised the students to keep in touch with the institution for their placements as wage employment or self employment .The students were happy and ready for their next assignments in future. CDTP is a centrally sponsored scheme under MHRD, Govt. of India providing free vocational skill development training to the weaker section of the society.
Under this scheme the Govt. Polytechnic Jammu is providing training to students at Main centre running in the College and extension centers located at different far flung areas as per the need of the area. This scheme was started by the Govt. of India in the year 2009-10 and till date approx. three thousand students have been successfully trained in different trades such as Electrician, Plumbing, Computer Operator, A.C/Refrigerator repair/maintenance, Transformer/motor winding, motor mechanic and other non-technical courses. Other present on the occasion were Er Inderjeet Singh, Work shop Supdt, Er Vinay Gupta, Ar Ritika Wadera, Er Zia-ul-Haq, Er Sanjay Gupta, HODs, Sh. Gurdyal and Sh. Vinay Gupta.
