Debate competition and poster making competition was organized in GovernmentPolytechnic Bikram Chowk institution on theme "Eradicate corruption - build a new India" to celebrate the Vigilance awareness weekwef 29th October to 3rdNov 2018 incollaboration with Northern Railways. ErArun Bangotra Principal of the institute while speaking on the occasion said that Corruption is a global phenomenon, affecting all strata of society and enlightened the staffand students about the evil effects of corruption on society and laid emphasis for fighting together against corruption.

In debate competition 1st prize winner was Gurjeet Singh of 5th Sem Civil Engg. Second prize was won by Razwana Hamid of 5th Sem Electrical Engg and third prize went to Dishvijay Singh of 5th Sem Civil Engg. In poster making competition, 1st prize waswon by Sahil Kumar of 5th Sem Mechanical, 2nd prize won by Nancy koul of 5th Sem Computer and 3rd prize went to Swati Manhass of 5th Sem Civil Engg. The cash prizes was also distributed among winners; Rs 1000 first prize; Rs 800 second prize and Rs 500 third prize for each event. The Judges on this occasion were Ar. Ritika Wadhera H.O.D Architecture, Ar. Manu Rajput of Architecture and Er. Akash Dusgotra of Civil Engg. Other present on the ocassion wereNarinder Thapa from Northern Railways, InderjeetSingh, K S Bhatia, Rajesh Khajuria, H.O.D's and staff members and students of the institution.
