Government Polytechnic Jammu organised Seminar on Cyber Security and Online Safety Issues in Today’s Era

Department of Computer Engineering, Government Polytechnic Jammu organized an Expert Lecture on “Cyber Security and Online Safety Issues in Today’s Era” under the able guidance of Principal, Er. Arun Bangotra. The resource person for the event was Er. Niraj Dubey, Sr. Faculty at GCET Jammu. The program was started with the welcome address by Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal who in his address highlighted the needs of Cyber Awareness among people in today’s era.

The resource person, Er. Niraj Dubey laid emphasis on Cyber Security and discussed various tricks to be followed while surfing online. The students were provided with information about various platforms available for checking vulnerabilities in various web applications which are frequently used. He also practically explained students about enriching their browsers, two step verification process, Password Analysis, Email ids Vulnerabilities and information linking of phone with their Email id. He also explained to students about the various spams and frauds which are encountered daily. He concluded the session on a lighter node by singing a song in his melodious voice.
