On 06th Feb, 2026, Government Polytechnic Jammu organize a special lecture on Youth Engagement and Empowerment Plan under the guidance of Er. Talet Mahmood Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu in collaboration with District Mission Coordinator, Mission Shakti, Department of Social Welfare J&K with the objective of Youth Engagement and Empowerment & inspiring students to actively participate in nation-building and personal development initiatives.
Ms. Shagun Manchanda District Mission Coordinator, Mission Shakti & Ms. Khushboo Kapte Gender Specialist DHEW, Department of Social Welfare delivered the lecture focused on the importance of youth involvement in social, economic, and educational development, emphasizing leadership, skill enhancement, innovation, and responsible citizenship. The speaker highlighted various government initiatives and opportunities available for young people to empower themselves through education, entrepreneurship, and community participation. Addressing the students, the resource person stressed that today’s youth play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the country. The session encouraged students to develop a proactive mindset, embrace skill development programs, and contribute positively to society. Faculty members and students attended the lecture with great enthusiasm. The interactive session allowed students to engage in meaningful discussions, ask questions, and gain clarity on how they can align their academic goals with national development plans. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the organizers and the active participation of the students.
