Govt. Polytechnic Inaugurates Fit India Webinar week




National Service Scheme (NSS) Govt.Polytechnic Jammu wing initiated “Fit India-2021” campaign through virtual mode. The event was hosted by NSS wing of Govt. polytechnic Jammu in association with various dignitaries/expertes from the field of health and wellness.

Program is scheduled for full one week, starting from 15,June,2021 to 21,June,2021, begin with view’s sharing by “Captain Rajiv” (Holistic health Coach, Formulator and Fermenter) he will talk on topic “Food as Medicine”.
Yogi Anil Thakur(Yoga therapist in ISM AYUSH Kishtwar),Sahil Gupta(Astt.Yoga teacher “Patanjalli Yog Peeth”), Apoorvi Sharma( Fitness Influencer), Dhanya Raj(Certified Yoga instructor from “ISHA FOUNDATION”), Sapna Jamwal (Coach NIS Cricket),Vinay Kumar(Yoga Expert GPJ), will also graced the occasion with their online presence for week long Fit India Campaing as per fixed schedules.

On 29 Aug 2019, the Honorable Prime Minister launched nation-wide “Fit India Movement” aimed to encourage people to inculcate physical activity and sports in their everyday lives and daily routine. Fit India Campaing of NSS unit ,Govt. Polytechnic Jammu is aims to help the students to grow individually and also in group. It makes the students confident, develop leadership skills, and gain knowledge about different people from different walk of life in field of physical and mental health.

Er. Sakshi Kapahi presented a formal welcome address. , which further proceeds with introductions of dignitriers/experts of different fields of physical health and mental peace.

Er.Ritu Jamwal principal, Govt. Polytechnic College Jammu appreciated and Congratulated team NSS, Er.Ajay Thappa(Programme Officer),Sh. Dheeraj Angral(Lecturer), Er. Sakashi Kapahi(Lecturer), Ms. Saba Sheikh, Er Sajjad Hussain, Er. Akash Dasgotra, Er. Amit Gupta, and Er. Jan Mohd. Najar, Students Volunteers-Nishchey, Varun and Anshu, for hosting such programes during the period of pandemic, which are expected to train about three hundred participants across disciplines and subjects. She elaborated on the role of experts, thanking all dignitaries for their valuable contribution to society and sparing their precious time, she also highlights’ that, how right training and capacity building can shape individual mind and soul ,specially students in this stressful pandemic era. She further advised the young faculty to be grounded, deep rooted and well versed with the domain knowledge, and the expertise.

With the inaugural, the 7-day “Fit India movement” starting from 15June,21 to 21June,21will be delivered virtually through online mode, on different topic’s and practices of health and wellness.

The programme concluded with vote of thanks presented by Dheeraj Kumar and interactive session among the faculty members and Students.
